Are You Ok?


This year has proven a challenging one for all of us. It seems like every month there's some new horror we have to face. I don't know about you all, but between being stuck at home and then being in the midst of a revolution, my anxiety levels have been...interesting. It’s been a challenge to take care of myself. But I was finally able to get a massage before opening up Tulia Massage again. That was invaluable. And I’m now in a much better place to help you all take care of yourselves . So I'm just going to ask you: are you doing ok?


If you Google anxiety, you will find that google has partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to create a self assessment tool. Sometimes we may not even be aware of how anxiety expresses itself in our bodies. It can range from lack of interest in once enjoyable things to severe muscle aches. This tool is a good check-in to identify how you’re doing right now.


Thankfully there are several ways to help deal with anxiety. One of them is massage. That’s where I come in. I would fall under the “self-care" category of effective treatments. There are also multiple forms of therapy and medications. If you're dealing with anxiety or depression, just know that you do have options. I'm here, toting my lavender and peppermint essential oils, to help you take good care of yourselves.
